Tightening Chain-Link Fences Procedure

One of the profits for the chain link fence is extremely durable, corrosion – resistant. A problem which may occur over time is that the fences material begins to sag. This sagging is usually because of by repeated climbing over. Tightening up a saggy chain link fence requires special tools and speed a little effort.

You will need things:

Tension bars, chain with shackles, come-along winch, wire cutters, aluminum wire ties pliers, bolt cutters, etc.

The procession of tighten:

The first step, pick up a thin metal tension bar is used to attach the fences to posts. Turning vertically and walking to a location 5 feet away from the fence end at it's the loosest.

The second step, insert the tension bar into the top of the fences, penetration has been to hook the bottom of the fence with the wires. 

The third step, caught in the hook at the end of one of the chains, around the tension bar one-third of the way from the top.

The forth step, attach the free ends of the chain with the come-along winch.The fifth step, turning horizontally the come-along winch and inserting the hook is on the other end around the center of the end post.

The sixth step, cutting the entire aluminum ties wires which connect the fence to the post with bolt cutters. Walk to the nearest post on the other side of the saggy are, then cut the ties off of the post.

The seventh step, grasp the center handle with the come-along winch, then with both hands and push it toward the end of post with firm pressure. Relax the handle and let it go back to the original position.

The eighth step, attach the tension bar to the post with wrapping aluminum wire ties about 12 inches intervals all the way along the post. Then, use pliers to bend and wrap the wires.

The finally step cut off the excess loose fences material with the bolt cutters. Unhook the come-along winch and remove the original tension bar on which the winch was attached.
